These are from my Grandma's side. She was 2nd generation German in the US and married to an English/French man (several generations US.)

Everything's fine!
Well, it wasn't until about 4:30pm today that I was able to stop holding my breath and finally feel like everything is okay again. I had finally heard back from the doctor that our baby's amnio revealed totally normal genes and no Downs, Trisomies, etc. It was a relief. We had indeed decided that either way we were keeping our baby, but the not knowing was agonizing. I don't know if I've ever been that distraught.
After that phone call, I called my husband then both of our Moms with the good news. Everyone was happy to hear (our Moms didn't know about the amnio yet.) Funny too was that both of our Moms were already pretty sure we were having a boy! I was pretty sure too due to these strange occurences around the house; a little boys sock had somehow sneaked into our moving boxes in December and kept turning up now and then much to our surprise.
Tonight as part of our mini celebration, we went to Target and picked out a couple of very cute little outfits for our little Baby Bear. I also couldn't resist picking up this odd little rubber cow-duckie (it's cow-print with little horns.. really strange!) It has a little water temperature sensor on the bottom which will spell out in big letters "HOT" if the baby's bathwater isn't safe.
So for the record, we are currently at 20 weeks with 20 more to go! My assignment from the nutritionist is to eat more fish and to get 15-20 minutes of exercise on a daily basis.
Now, time for some relaxation and dinner. :-)
